(A young man neatly dressed in shirt and tie storms out into view. He holds a Bible in his hand, looking excited and happy).
YOUNG MAN: (excitedly) Wonderful! The name of Jesus Christ our Lord is becoming increasingly popular, the gospel is spreading at an alarming rate; souls are getting converted in thousands and there is an explosion of church growth and massive expansion of denominational organisations. Crusades and conventions are being held here and there! Evangelical cathedrals and gigantic Pentecostal auditoria springing up all around us! Oh! Corporate personalities, military officers, engineers, doctors, lawyers, professors, governors and royal personalities including men at the corridor of power are turning in millions to Christ! Oh! The church is expanding! The church is on the move! The church is marching on! Hallelujah!
(As he dances to a song in joy, a loud deep voice calls suddenly. An Elderly Man walks into view.)
THE ELDERLY MAN: Young man! (He whirling around, searching for the voice) I can see you rejoicing in jubilation that the church is marching on. I heard you shouting for joy at the various expansions and explosions of churches and denominations.
YOUNG MAN: Yes, a great wind of God is blowing, there is a mighty move going on. Several hundreds of people are becoming born-again in our land. The church is triumphing! The church of God is expanding!
THE ELDERLY MAN: Young man, haven’t you wondered why there were few people getting born again in those days, but the quality of believers then were so high. Today, why are there quantities of believers with their quality decreasing everyday?
YOUNG MAN: (confused) But… is it not part of the move of the end-time?
THE ELDERLY MAN: Yes, you are right. This is the perilous times, and the church is right inside of it. The devil has brought the world and its worldliness into the church. The church has been infested with all kinds of corruptions, immorality, falsehood and pride.
YOUNG MAN: (disturbed) But… the Lord says, the glory of the latter house shall be greater than the former.
THE ELDERLY MAN: Yes, but the glory shall not manifest upon the church filled with corruption and worldliness. This church must be cleansed and purged. The wedding garment of the Bride must be washed clean and the Bride must be purified. Then, until then, shall the glory manifest upon the church.
YOUNG MAN: (seriously moved to tears) Why are there so many unbelieving believers filing the church? Why is holiness gradually becoming an abomination?
THE ELDERLY MAN: When the foundation is faulty, what can the righteous do? When church leaders are corrupted, they impart corruption into the lives of their members. Many corrupt and immoral ministers of the gospel have compromised their faith and calling and have become instrument of the devil to pollute the church of God. That is one of those things the devil is doing in the church in an attempt to hinder the move of the Spirit and prevent the manifestation of God’s glory.
YOUNG MAN: (depressed and sad) But the Lord Jesus Christ is coming for a glorious church.
THE ELDERLY MAN: Yes! Even though this church has been so much infested with terrible corruptions and immorality and the spirit of Jezebel manifests vividly in spiritual witchcraft, scandals, seductions, craze for fame and Hollywood Christianity, yet, the Lord shall purge His church and purify His Bride to partake in the glory of His coming.
YOUNG MAN: (he bursts into sorrowful tears) What is happening? The world has begun to laugh at the church. (He kneels prayerfully) Lord, revive us again! (He weeps more. Then, a terrible demonic figure storms into view, with a loud coarse frightening laughter. He is the Devil)
DEVIL: Did I hear you saying the world has begun to laugh at the foolishness of the compromise and spiritual degeneration of the church? Oh-o! even I Satan and the host of Hell are drunk with laughter as well. (He laughs so loud again.) When many churches now begin to do what is right in their own eyes, not minding what the scripture teaches, is that not foolishness? (A louder thundering voice startles him)
THE VOICE: “Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise, when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me! (Devil alarmed, he looks around frightened).
DEVIL: Who was that? Who said that? (he is still looking round as three angels appear with flaming swords in their hands. They raise the sword as they stand side by side facing the devil. He becomes more furious seeing the angels) The battle is over Angels of God! I have corrupted the church! I have polluted the church. I have brought the world into the church. This church cannot be glorious again. I have the church in my hands. The battle is over-er-er!!!
ANGEL I: (he speaks with a glorious calmness) Correct, Satan. The battle is over more than two thousand years ago! The Lord Jesus Christ had defeated you over the Church on the Cross of Calvary. He is the Head and the Husband of the church, and He watches over her.
DEVIL: (furiously) But I have sent the spirit of lust and scandals, corruption and greed into this Church. The Church is now filled with Born-again fraudsters, drug pushers, prostitutes and robbers. You mean your Lord still loves that kind of church?
ANGEL II: This present Church shall be purged and refined, suitable and presentable for Christ’s coming. The wheat shall be separated from the chaff. The Lord shall judge the crooks among His ministers. So, instead of being beaten down and defeated by the powers of darkness, this church shall rise up in the power of the Most High!
DEVIL: (laughs loudly again) I don’t believe it! You mean with those many unbelieving believers trooping to church every Sunday? With those multitudes of miracle seekers; prosperity adventurers and exploitative Christians who follow God for what they can grab and not what they can give? You mean with those so-called “sisters in the Lord” who wear transparent attires and seductive dresses to church to attract unbelievers and pollute the mind of believers?
ANGEL III: God’s standard shall not be lowered because of sin. There is a clear demarcation going on already in the spirit realm, between the harlot church and the Glorious Church. The Lord shall not go by numbers. As many as are ready to be made glorious now will be made glorious. Out of this present corrupt church system shall arise the Glorious Church, The Unstoppable Church.
DEVIL: (stands confusedly) I can’t understand the mystery of the Glorious Church. (becoming more furious.) But I will mobilise all my armies. I will move the Host of Hell! I will invade the church from the pit of Hell! Human demons and agents of Hell shall be on assignment all over to attack the lives and homes of members and ministers. I will triumph! I will triumph! (The glorious Voice thunders from heaven again to the frightening of the Devil)
THE VOICE: There shall be Angels on assignment. They shall be let loose upon the earth as never before. They shall mingle and walk with men to move in favour of the Glorious Church. The Glorious Church shall bring down Heaven on earth! The kingdom of darkness and the kingdom of the world shall never be able to withstand this Glorious Church.
DEVIL: (cries so loud) No-o-o-o! The battle of the end-time shall be between the Host of Heaven and the powers of darkness! Then, let the battle begins now! (He roars in great fury) Host of darkness!!! (There is a rush, from the dark world, of multitude of hideous demons of various shapes and sizes, on to the battle ground of the spirit realm. They come brandishing an assortment of dark dangerous weapons, ready for a battle that had already been determined by our glorious God. The Angels face them as they engage in a fierce war. One after the other the demons fall, until Satan falls lastly with a scream. The Angels walk to them, place their right feet on their necks and raise up their swords in victory. Songs of Triumph fill the air.)

( 2.9 / 453 )The Bible speaks a lot about music; Angels are full of songs of praise and worship. When Jesus Christ was born, the Shepherd heard the Angelic hosts singing and praising God (Luke 2: 13). David was a psalmist, for this reason he was employed by Saul to sing and play the hard for him to wade off demonic attacks (I Samuel 16: 23). The ark of the Lord was brought to Jerusalem amidst sounds of trumpets, harps and music (2 Samuel 6: 15). At the last supper, the Lord and His disciples sang hymn (Matt. 26: 30). So, the Bible establishes the place of music, moreso that even the saints in heaven shall sing the song of Moses and the Lamb (Rev. 15: 3).
But what about drama? What about acting? Is it possible to make references like this across the Bible concerning drama? Definitely, anything done outside the Bible is out of place, however beautiful or fruitful it may look or sound. Is there drama in the Bible?
Jesus Christ loves children. He rebuked His disciples for trying to prevent them from coming to Him. So, He is in full support of Child Evangelism. The Bible even gave the warning for us to train up our children in the ways of the Lord, so that they will go in the right direction when they grow up (Prov. 22: 6). Therefore, if there are people called by God to carry the burden and vision of training them up for the Lord, will they not be fulfilling the counsel of the Lord?
If you are a Bible teacher, pastor, evangelist, prophet or apostle, all these have strong scriptural base, the Lord Jesus Christ was the greatest “Rabbi”. He is our Shepherd and a perfect example of an evangelist that went about doing good. In fact, it was Jesus Christ who:
“…..when he ascended up on high, he led the captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men… And he gave some, apostle, and some, prophets, and some, evangelists, and some, pastors and teachers.” Ephesians 4: 8, 11
Is the gift of drama and acting therefore not part of the gifts He gave unto men?
There is no ministry work that is not backed up by the scripture. Any act of evangelism can be found to be fully supported by the Word of God if one takes the pain to search out the scripture.
Despite the huge spiritual results of drama evangelism today, some ministers and children of God still challenge this weapon of evangelism on the basis that they could not find any scriptural justification for it. If by drinking beer and telling horrible lies, people are getting converted into the Kingdom of God en-masse, does that make drunkenness and deceitfulness an act of holiness? Even if it happens that there is mass conversion and revival as a result of man’s act of drunkenness and deceitfulness, those people will get to heaven, but the drunkard and deceitful man is a qualified citizen of hell because the Bible has condemned him.
If acting drama, behaving like demons, acting like harlots, herbalists and masquerades on stage is getting people to Kingdom of God and what we are doing has no scriptural justification, then, all we drama ministers are in horrible danger.

( 3.1 / 388 )Few years ago, there were ladies refered to as "Screen Goddesses". They
have faded off the screen and vacated the thrones for new comers who
also are now been regarded as the "toasts of the viewers". They are
happy to occupy the glorious seats of those star-actresses they once adored
and regarded as mentors. They are drinking from the same golden cup
those goddesses had once drank from. They too are now stars.
However, the same rule applies.The stars of the entertainment world
never remained in the sky for long. They always fade into dark sky.Their
glories, their fames and the noises around them never last for ever. The
ovation always subside and the loud applause always die off. The
people, the fans and the audience always look around for new entrants who
could do better. They always get fed up seeing the same old faces all
the time. The stars of the secular world never last for ever.
Meanwhile, within the time of the star-reign, during the moment of the
star's regime when ovation and loud applause trail behing the star and
he or she goes around signing authographs and honouring awards and
special interviews; during those times of her fame and popularity, her
destiny might have been affected negatively. The fame might have
affflicted serious moral or marital damage upon her.
To many of those Stars, their destiny got damaged during their short
moment of madness. Within the short moment of their fame and recognition,
some had rushed in and out of marital relationships. Many had suffered
series of broken relationships or got entangled with people who were
not really after genuine life-time relationship but were after
acquaintance with "a star".
Many of these "stars" always find it hard to get settled maritally
until the "star" has sunk back into the sky and they are left derobed and
stripped naked of their former fame and popularity.
So at the end of the day, the "star-status" had not been favourable to
many of these "stars" . After the star had faded off the sky, they are
always left alone stripped and derobed.
